A) About the Action Centre

The Action Centre is the only bilingual (English and French) community day centre in Montreal for adults aged 21+ living with physical disabilities. We provide inclusive, accessible, and adapted programming that supports social connection, well-being, skill development, and community participation. Programs are offered on-site and online in a safe and welcoming environment. We also provide respite services, offering families reliable daytime relief while members benefit from personalized care and engaging programming.

A typical day at our Centre begins with a warm welcome, friendly chats over coffee, followed by morning activities (we offer at least 5 activities per day). We are well equipped and adapted to offer personal assistance as needed. After lunch, a pleasant and social time in our adapted cafeteria, afternoon activities continue until approximately 3:00 p.m. Members may leave after their scheduled activities. Virtual programs are also available to our members most evenings from 6-7 pm,  to participate from the comfort of their home.
