The Argyle Institute

Founded in 1982, The Argyle Institute (of Human Relations) is a charitable, non-profit organization with a longstanding commitment to the emotional well-being of Montrealers.

They provide:
1 Sliding fee psychotherapy services to the community
2 Continuing education to mental health professionals
3 A range of educational services to the community at large.

The MBA Community Service Initiative (MBA CSI) encourages and promotes community service and links the resources of the JMSB at Concordia University with the needs of communities, organizations, small businesses, institutions and industries.

 
 
GIV3 – Feel Great Giving

GIV3 is a movement to encourage more Canadians to be more charitable.
GIV3 stands on 3 pillars: more volunteering, more donations, more encouragement. We are not asking for donations from everyday Canadians. We encourage people to volunteer and donate to registered charities of their choice.

 
 
The Montréal Neurological Hospital/ My ToolBox Program

My Tool Box is a free 6-week program for patients with chronic disease, designed to teach people the skills they need to live well with chronic health conditions. This fun, practical and interactive program emphasizes coping strategies, practical skills and the building blocks for better self care.

 
 
CREP (Centre de Ressources Éducatives et pédagogique)
(part of CSDM Commission scolaire de Montréal)

Le Centre de ressources éducatives et pédagogiques (CREP) is an Educational and Teaching Resource Centre for adult education in the Montreal School Board (CSDM), offering a pioneering model of intervention in this area. The CREP supports the vision of CSDM to be fully integrated into the community, but as an adjunct of being close to people.

 
 
LBPSB Lester B. Pearson School Board

The largest English School Board in Quebec, LBPSB stretches from Verdun (including Nun's Island) in the east, to Hudson and St. Lazare in the west.

 
 
Centre Lisette Dupras

The Lisette-Dupras Centre is part of a network of rehabilitation centers for those living with intellectual disabilities and pervasive developmental disorders (CRDITED).

 
 
Emploi Québec – Subvention Salariale

Action Centre provides work opportunities and re-training for people who have been unemployed for an extended period of time.
 
 
Emploi d’été Canada (Service Canada)

Provides 2 student teachers as Summer replacements

 
 
Correctional Service Canada

Former convicts in transition are able to perform their required community service at the Action Centre as Caretakers and cleaners (2 per year, for 6 month terms)

 
 
CDI College

Students becoming Health Assistants and Nursing Care Aides rotate through the Action Centre as interns relating to and supporting persons living with disabilities. (10 days/ month)

 
 
McGill University Outreach Program/ Dentistry

McGill Dentistry students set up a mobile clinic at the Centre for check-ups and cleanings

 
 
 
Eco-Garden
TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FEF)

A LaSalle Community initiative, in collaboration with Eco-Garden and TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FEF): Our Members plant and manage a nearby adapted herb and vegetable garden, culminating in a Harvest Salad party in late summer
